Description
The stone rectangular boundary wall surrounding Dixon's Almshouses was built in 1868. It is constructed of ashlar red sandstone, featuring a rock-faced finish on the side and rear walls. The wall has triangular coping with a bead along the top. There are three gateways in the front wall, each with square gatepiers. Two of these gatepiers include two cusped lancet panels with gabled heads and gabled capstones. The gates themselves are now missing. This structure is listed for its group value only.
