Description
Number 84 Street is a town house, likely built in the late 18th century or early 19th century, with some alterations. It features brown brick in a Flemish bond pattern and a roof covered with small grey slates. The building has three storeys and includes a painted sandstone plinth. The entrance has a door made up of six fielded panels, set in a restored doorcase topped with a simple pediment supported by console brackets, located on the east side. There is a barred opening to the cellar within the plinth. Each storey has two recessed sash windows, with six panes each; the windows on the third storey are shorter in proportion. The building has painted stone sills and wedge lintels, a moulded stone cornice, and a cast-iron rainwater pipe. There are shared ridge chimneys at both ends of the roof. The rear of the building has a rendered first storey, a recessed door in a porch, a replaced casement window in the sash opening, and replaced windows in the second and third storeys, which have wood sills and cambered brick heads. The interior has not been inspected.
