Description
Rockbarton is a model cottage from the mid-19th century, part of the Cholmondeley Castle Estate. It is built of brown brickwork in English garden wall bond and features a slate roof. The central bay is two storeys high with a gable facing the road. It has a one-storey canted bay window at the front and one-storey hip-roofed wings on either side. There is a projecting band at the eaves, shaped bargeboards, and lead-roll hips. The central ridge chimney has three separated diagonal flues, while the left wing has a lateral chimney with one flue, both made of brick. The windows have triangular arched heads, and the oblique sides of the bay window are set in triangular arched recesses. The glazing bars have been removed, and there is a replaced door on the side of the right wing. The interior has not been inspected.
