Description
Nantwich Lodge is a lodge located at the original south entrance to Cholmondeley Park, dating from the early 19th century. It features whitened rendered brickwork and a thatched roof. The building is a single storey with an attic and has one bay. The entrance includes a Gothic-headed, ledged and battended door set in an opening with a level head. The facade and the ground floor east gable end have paired Gothic-headed casements with intersecting glazing bars, all in a wooden frame with a square head. Other windows consist of single lights. At the rear, there is a brick lean-to with an asbestos-cement roof. The lodge also has a wide soffit to the eaves and gable verges, along with a central octagonal stack.
