Description

The former stables at Hefferston Grange, located on Grange Lane in Weaverham, are dated to the early to mid-18th century and have undergone 20th-century alterations. Constructed of Flemish bond red brick with washed stone dressings, now red-coated, the building features a hipped, bellcast roof covered in Welsh slate. The original rectangular plan presented a symmetrical five-bay south front. The structure includes flush quoins, a plain band at the first floor level, and a moulded cornice. The central bay projects slightly and contains a tall entrance with flat, gauged brick heads and stone keyblocks. Similar brick heads were originally present on other openings. A central, octagonal wooden cupola rises from the roof, housing a clock, bell, and an ogee roof topped with a weathervane.
