Description
Henhull Cottage is a former house, wheelwright's shop, and stable, now used as a house. It dates from the late 18th century and has had some alterations in the 20th century. The building features washed brick on a sandstone plinth and a Welsh slate roof with stone copings on kneelers, along with two brick chimneys. The long, two-storey structure has a four-bay southeast front that includes six small-pane iron windows, with four central panes that are hinged, all set under segmental brick heads to the right. To the left, there are two lines of ventilation holes. The northwest front is two-storeys high and has nine bays, which have been substantially altered, but it retains original features such as two square pitch holes above a doorway at the right end and two windows, one of which has a small-pane iron window, all under segmental brick heads. Inside, some sawn ceiling beams and joists are exposed.
