Description

The park gates and gate piers with wing walls on the north drive to Bolesworth Castle were built in 1829 or later and are made of red sandstone. The gates, likely from the late 19th century, are crafted from wrought iron. There are two pairs of gate piers, which are connected by a wall. Each pier features plain plinths, tooled masonry, and projecting cornices. The pair of piers on the main drive has stone balls on top, while the pair to the west, which provided access to the park and lake, does not. The wing walls are lower in height. The gates themselves include decorative panels and a top-hamper adorned with scrolls.
