Description

This is a sewer vent located at the junction with Filkins Lane in Chester, built in the late 19th century. The vent is made of cast iron and stands approximately 9 meters high. It features a moulded plinth at the base, leading to a cylindrical column that has a flanged joint about 4 meters above the ground. At the top, there is a moulded capital that supports what appears to be a fixed "weather-vane" and a spherical head with four round vents. The vent is topped with an ornate finial, although the fretted plate on it is damaged.
