Description
The Bee House in Rectory Garden is a small T-shaped building dating from 1870. It is constructed of English garden wall bond brown brick and features a gabled roof covered with shaped tiles. The gables are timber framed and have moulded finials at the ridge. There is a vertical bee exit located at the center of the ridge, along with bee exit and entry slits in the south wall. The entrance has a framed and boarded door. Inside, there is staging for beehives positioned under the access slits, making this a rare example of its kind.
