Description
Coachman's Cottage and the attached coach-house at Riverside House were built in 1865 and are constructed from sandstone. The cottage features a grey slate gabled roof with exposed rafters on shaped purlin ends. It has two storeys and one window, with recessed small-pane sash windows and a small bay window in the parlour. The entrance includes a recessed six-panel door set in a simplified classical stone surround, with a shield above the doorway displaying the Grosvenor sheaf and the year '1865'.
The attached coach-house, built at the same time, has a stone gabled design and includes brick outbuildings at the rear, all topped with slate roofs. The coach-house features two carriage doorways: one on the left under a segmental arch and one on the right under a timber lintel, both with boarded doors. Small-pane iron casements are also present. The interiors have not been inspected.
