Description

A row of four small town houses built in the early 19th century. The houses are constructed with brown brick in a Flemish bond pattern, and have grey slate roofs. They are two storeys high and each house has two windows. Each house has a panelled doorcase with a decorative frieze and dentil cornice. Number 14 has a six-panel door, while numbers 15, 16 and 17 have four-panel doors. Numbers 14 and 15 have sash windows with sixteen panes and decorative margins. Number 16 has similar sash windows within a later, projecting single-storey brick bay. Number 17 has 20th-century French windows within a similar projecting bay. The first floor of each house has two recessed sash windows with twelve panes, painted stone sills, and wedge-shaped lintels. There is an eaves cornice along the front and the right end of the building. The houses have two chimneys at the front, two on the rear ridge, and two on the right end. The interiors have not been inspected.
