Description

Greenwalls Farmhouse is a farmhouse, likely dating to the late 17th century, with an 19th-century wing added to the left, set slightly back. The building is constructed of brown brick in an irregular bond, topped with graded grey slate roofs. It features two broad, sandstone-coped gables with kneelers to the front. The farmhouse is two storeys high; the original 17th-century section has four upper and two lower windows containing mid-19th century iron casements within timber frames. The Victorian wing has small-paned casements, primarily of timber. Flush brick chimneys are situated in the end gables. A late 19th-century oak-framed gabled porch projects forward, sheltering an 18th-century six-panel door with reeded margins to the lower four panels. The interior has been altered. A former cheese-room is located in the upper storey of the Victorian wing.
