Description
The handpump located on the north side of Tushingham House is a Grade II listed structure from 1869, made of cast iron. It features a circular stem with two cast bands and a cast plate inscribed with "1869:FARM:14.7" and "BAMFORD'S UNIVERSAL:FJ:PUMP." The pump has a fluted chamber, a tapering fluted spout with a bucket-hook, and a domed fluted cap topped with a finial. It was reported to be in working order during an inspection in 1984.
