Description
Stocks, probably from the 17th century, are located almost opposite the Grosvenor Arms Inn on Chester Road in Aldford. The structure features red sandstone and oak, with grooved end stones that hold massive oak stocks that have four leg-holes. Behind the stocks, there is a plain sandstone seat that is supported by a retaining wall made of square rubble sandstone. The stonework has been renewed more recently.
