Description

Bank Farm Farmhouse is a mid 18th century farmhouse constructed of brick, featuring a plinth, rusticated quoins, and a coved eaves cornice made of sandstone. The roof is covered with grey slate and includes flush gable chimneys made of brick, which are stone-capped. The building has a symmetrical rectangular shape, consisting of two storeys and three windows, with a somewhat later brick lean-to extension at the back that is toothed into the end walls. Notable architectural details include brick dentils beneath the cornice, gauged brick heads over the window and door openings, and sandstone cills. The windows have small-pane iron casements that were likely inserted around 1850, probably in the original openings. The front door consists of five flush panels, with the top panel later being glazed. The interior has not been inspected.
