Description
Alpraham Hall is a farmhouse built around 1860 as part of the Tollemache Estate. It is constructed of red brick and features a tile roof. The building has two storeys and four bays, with an "L" shaped plan and gabled design. An open timber porch supported by timber posts extends from a brick wall and features a gabled roof with a board-filled apex. This porch leads to a half-glazed four-panel door that has a rectangular fanlight, false strap hinges, and ornamental cast iron door furniture. All windows are fitted with cast iron hexagonal lozenge casements set in wooden frames. The first-floor windows are located in steeply pitched gabled half dormers, which have planted timber framing and finials. The steeply pitched roof is topped with high standing chimneys that have divided flues. The rear wing includes a gabled dormer on the mid-roof slope. Inside, the hall features exposed softwood chamfered beams.
