Description

Park Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse built from red English garden wall bond brick and topped with a slate roof. The entrance front features a symmetrical three-bay facade with a central doorway that has a recessed surround and a semi-circular relieving arch above, adorned with radiating bricks in the tympanum. On either side of the doorway are splayed-headed three-light casement windows, each with heavy chamfered glazing bars consisting of four panes by five panes and stone cills. The first floor has a blind splayed-headed window in the center, flanked by two splayed-headed three-light casement windows, each with three panes by four panes, again featuring heavy glazing bars and stone cills. The hipped roof is complemented by two two-flue stacks that rise from each side wall.

On the courtyard front, there is a splayed-headed three-light casement window to the left with three panes by five panes for each light. To the left of center, there is a door with a splayed-headed two-light casement window to its right. A 19th-century porch and outhouse are located on the right-hand side. The first floor has three two-light windows, with the middle one positioned to the right of center, each consisting of three panes by four panes.

Inside, the farmhouse features a central staircase with walls on either side that rise in line with the front door. The drawing room includes a hob grate, and both floors have plank doors. All window glazing bars are deeply chamfered on the interior.
