Description
The sundial located in St Boniface's churchyard, 10 meters to the south, dates from 1740 and features a bronze plate. It is made of red sandstone and has a turned baluster-shaped pillar that sits on a two-stepped square base. The upper step of the base is cavetto moulded, and the pillar's base has a square plinth. The pillar has a cyma recta profile with a small bead in the neck. The top of the sundial projects and includes a calibrated bronze plate with a pointer, which is inscribed with the date as well as the names John Davies, Roger Perry, and S Young.
