Description

This is a potash or lime kiln, likely built in the late 18th century. It is constructed from brown sandstone rubble and features a bottle-shaped design. There is a rectangular opening that leads from the lane through a drystone revetment wall. The kiln is embedded into the hillside, and its top opening is covered with heavy flags.
