Description
Bunbury Cottage, also known as Tudor Cottage, is an early 17th-century cottage located on School Lane in Bunbury. It features a brick nogged timber frame and a thatched roof, with a single storey and an attic that includes three window bays. There is a modernised separate cottage, known as Holly Bank, which is a rear wing made of red brick with a slate roof. The cottage has a sandstone plinth and small framing. It retains old gudgeon-hung leaded casements, including one in a thatched half dormer, while other first-floor windows are set in gables. The doors are ledged and battened, equipped with false strap hinges, and are sheltered by added monopitch canopies supported by brackets. Inside, the cottage features ovolo moulded beams and exposed ceiling joists.
