Description

Cherry Tree is a house of approximately 1742, originally built as a lodge. It is constructed of washed brick on a stone plinth, with a Kerridge stone-slate roof, stone ridge, and two gable brick chimneys. The building is two storeys high with a three-bay front. A 20th-century board door is located at the right end, positioned beneath a rough segmental brick arch. Three-light casement windows are fitted with applied lead glazing and are set within rough brick segmental heads. A central semi-circular stone datestone is inscribed with "JSB 1742”.
