Description
The barn at Overton Hall Farm dates from the 16th or 17th century and is constructed with a timber frame featuring butt-boarded infill and a stone-slate roof. It is a single-storey structure. The front facing the road is covered with 20th-century vertical weatherboarding and includes a double doorway at the center, flanked by two rectangular pitch-holes. The gable ends are made of 19th-century brick. At the rear, there is a 20th-century outshut on the left, made of corrugated iron, which reveals the barn's rear wall that has an ashlar plinth supporting small-framed cells with butt-boarded infill. To the right, there is a range of farm buildings from the 19th century. Inside, the barn features four trusses with tie-beams supported by angle braces, and additional angle braces connecting to the principals. It has two sets of purlins with wind bracing and a ridge beam.
