Description
This sundial, located 10 metres south of the east bay of the nave of the Church of St. Oswald, is likely from the 18th century. It is made of stone and features an unusual design. The sundial has a circular plinth set on a circular stone step, supporting a battered cruciform stem topped with an octagonal cap. It includes a copper dial and gnomon. The dial bears the inscription "Thos. Jobson: Thos. Carter," although additional lettering and what may be a date are not legible.
