Description

BRERETON C.P. BRERETON GREEN SJ 76 SE 7/7 Sundial 10 metres south of east bay of Nave of Church of St. Oswald - GV II

Sundial, probably C18, stone, of unusual design. Circular plinth on circular stone step carries battered cruciform stem with octagonal cap. Copper dial and gnomon. The dial is inscribed Thos. Jobson: Thos. Carter; further lettering and, probably, date are illegible.
