Description

12 Barker Street is a 16th to 17th century timber-framed cottage with painted brick infilling. It is a two-storey building that includes an outbuilding under a single roof, separated by a covered way leading to the yard. The cottage features casement windows, likely from the late 18th century, and a doorway framed in plain wood that includes a 6-panelled door from the 18th century. The roof is covered with old stone tiles, and there is a gabled wing that extends to the rear. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 12 to 20 (even) and the Dowery.
