Description

No. 288 on Crewe Road is an early 19th-century house constructed of coloured brick with a tiled roof. The building is two storeys high and features three bays. It has a sandstone plinth and a six-panel door set within a doorcase that includes a semicircular fanlight with an intricate design. The fanlight arch is supported by stone springers and a keystone. The windows are recessed sashes with glazing bars, stone sills, and stone skewback heads. The house has wide overhanging eaves with timber gutters supported by extended brackets, and there are gable end stacks.
