Description

Bridge Number 36 is a footbridge over the Macclesfield Canal, built in 1831 by engineer William Crosley. It is constructed from roughly coursed and squared Kerridge stone, with smaller blocks laid above the string course. The bridge features an elliptical arch made of voussoirs and keystones, along with a shallow string course and a parapet above. There are terminal piers at either end of the bridge.
