Description

A pair of houses, likely originally one larger dwelling, dating from around 1810. The houses are built of brick with a Welsh slate roof. The main block is a symmetrical three-window design, with a four-window range overall. A central bay projects forward, containing the main doorway, and to the left a secondary range now provides the entrance to number 136A. Full-height pilasters adorn the sides of the main range. The main door has four fielded panels, each with an octagonal shape, and a traceried overlight set within an Ionic architrave. The windows are tripartite sashes with segmentally-arched brick surrounds; the upper floors have 12-pane sashes with flat-arched, gauged brick heads. Axial and end wall stacks are present.
