Description

A terrace of three houses with weavers' garrets, dating from circa 1820. The buildings are constructed of brick with a slate roof. Each house is three storeys high, with a double-pile plan consisting of a single room per floor. Each property originally had a doorway to the right, topped with an architrave and a stone cornice hood. The sash windows have mostly been renewed, but remain within their original openings, and feature flat-arched painted stone voussoir heads. The windows are long, horizontally-sliding sashes with small panes, extending to the attic workshops, two of which have been replaced with casements. The eaves are moulded wood. The terrace has end wall stacks. It is believed the houses were built by the owners of numbers 106 and 108 Buxton Road.
