Description
The former St Paul's Church of England School, built around 1845 with a slightly later extension, is now converted for use as flats but was partially disused at the time of the survey. The building is constructed from coursed and squared rubble and features a heavy slate roof in the Gothic style. It stands two storeys tall and was originally designed to be symmetrical, with two three-light mullioned and transomed windows on each side of a central gable. The central gable has stepped three-light mullioned and transomed windows. The extent of the original building is indicated by coped gables and angle quoins. The structure has been extended to the left with three additional windows, featuring two- and three-light mullions in plain chamfered cases. There is a doorway to the left, framed by a square-headed chamfered surround.
