Description

This medieval tombstone is located approximately one yard south of the Venables tomb in the churchyard of St. Mary. It is made of yellow sandstone and features a recumbent figure on a raised plinth. The sides of the plinth display worn blind tracery. The figure, which is significantly worn, is depicted in armor with its feet resting on a beast, and it holds a shield on the left side. One of the legs of the figure is missing.
