Description

This medieval tombstone is located approximately one yard north of the Venables tomb in the Churchyard of St. Mary. It is made of yellow sandstone and features a recumbent figure lying on a slab. The figure is heavily worn but seems to represent a male, possibly a cleric, dressed in a cassock with a cowled collar. The hands of the figure are positioned together in prayer above the chest.
