Description
The Post Office Spindles is a pair of shops with housing above, dating from the late 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The building features washed Flemish bond brickwork, a Kerridge stone-slate roof, and three brick chimneys. It is two and a half storeys tall with a three-bay front. The lower storey includes two Georgian-style shop windows, with the window at Spindles being bowed, and two partly glazed doors. The upper storey has 12-pane sash windows beneath flat wedged brick heads with stone keyblocks, along with 6-pane sash windows in the half storey.
