Description

A pair of houses, one formerly a shop, was built around 1830 on a corner site. The buildings are constructed with Flemish bond brickwork and have a hipped roof covered with Welsh slate. The front elevation facing St George’s Street has a shop front featuring fluted shafts supporting a modillion cornice. It includes a 6-panelled door and a renewed window. A 16-pane sash window is located alongside the door, with painted stone voussoirs. A doorway to the Chapel Street return is framed by a moulded wood architrave. The front elevations also contain 12-pane sash windows on each floor, all with painted stone voussoirs. A blind window is positioned above the doorway. The building has end wall stacks.
