Description
Oaklands is a house built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of red Flemish bond brick with stone dressings and has a slate roof. The building has two storeys and features a symmetrical entrance front with three bays. The central front door is set above three stone steps and has six raised and fielded panels, surrounded by a stone frame with arched sunken panels on either side and a flat porch above. There is a tripartite sash window with side lights consisting of one by four panes. Segmental relieving arches are positioned above the windows. A stone bond runs across the entire front at the level of the sills, supporting three first floor windows, each with four by four sash panes and flat arched heads.
