Description
Nos 35 and 37 King Street, along with No 2 Heaton Street, are 18th-century buildings made of red brick. They stand three storeys high and feature a continuous modillion cornice and a wide stone plinth. No 35 has an early 20th-century shop front, while No 37 has a later shop front and a doorway with very slender Ionic columns topped with a modillion cornice, accessed by steps. Each upper floor has two, three, and two sash windows. No 2 Heaton Street is located on the return side of No 35 King Street and shares the same architectural design. This group of buildings, including Nos 33 to 43 (odd), showcases a strong Georgian character alongside Nos 1 and 3 Princes Street.
