Description
No. 18 Front Street is a house built in 1720 and refurbished around 1800. It features coursed blocks of pinkish sandstone and a roof made of pantiles. The building has two storeys and two windows. On the ground floor, there are two wide, segmental-headed openings that have been blocked, along with an inserted central tripartite sash window and a door beneath an oblong fanlight on the right. The first floor has two tripartite sash windows. All windows include glazing bars, painted lintels, and modern external louvred shutters. The house has an eaves gutter board, a low gable parapet, and a brick chimney at the left end. Inside, there are shutters for the wide-splayed window on the ground floor, some architraves, and a two-panelled door on the first floor, as well as an enclosed stair.
