Description

These are two barns located south of Russell House, dating from the 18th century. They are constructed from limestone rubble with brick dressings and feature a roof made of pantiles with flat stone gable copings. The barns have a double span design and include a segmental-headed arcade supported by square stone piers at the north end, which was originally open but is now enclosed by a low, later-added lean-to. The south elevation has two gables, each with brick pointed-arched openings that contain recessed ventilation panels made of brick. Inside, the yard wall on the south side of the foldyard has been rebuilt.
