Description
Eight lime kilns located at Fulwell Quarry date from the 18th and 19th centuries and were built for Sir Hedworth Williamson. They are constructed from coursed limestone rubble, featuring rubble and brick dressings. There are eight kilns in total, with the central four being irregularly spaced and roughly aligned. Three kilns are arranged in a canted block that projects from the left side of this group, while one kiln is set back in a wall on the right. The two oldest kilns, located at the right of the central group, have stone arches, while the remaining kilns have brick dressings. A 20th-century garage showroom obscures the two oldest kilns and a section of plain retaining wall to their left.
