Description

No. 5 Front Street is a house built in the early to mid-19th century. It features roughly coursed limestone rubble and a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has two windows with late 19th-century sash frames. There is a later central projecting porch that has a boarded door and an oblong fanlight. The stone gable copings and two end brick chimneys add to its architectural character. The rear elevation is made of red brick and shows two different periods of construction, with similar first-floor windows, but modern ground floor windows and a door. This house is included in the listing partly for its group value with nearby buildings.
