Description

Nos. 47-52 on Sandhill are a row of three houses dating from the late 18th century, now used as shops and offices. They are constructed with painted stucco and feature ashlar dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof and brick chimneys. Each house is three storeys high and has two bays. The early 20th-century shop fronts are marked by Tuscan pilasters with decorative paterae and a cornice at the ground floor. Above, there are plain sash windows with a sill band on the first floor and projecting stone sills on the second floor. The buildings also have three truncated ridge chimneys.
