Description
No. 46 Sandhill is a house that has been converted into offices. It dates from the 18th century and has undergone some alterations. The ground floor features a red granite shop front, while the upper levels are finished in painted stucco with painted ashlar dressings. The roof is made of Welsh slate and includes brick chimneys.
The shop is defined by wide Tuscan pilasters and has a central door that has been renewed, along with a cornice at the ground floor level. The windows on the first and second floors are cross-jamb windows, and the third floor has late 19th-century sash windows, all with projecting stone sills and set within architraves. The first-floor windows are topped with a pediment, and there is a cornice on the second floor. The building features end ridge brick chimneys, and the left return gable shows some tumbled-in brickwork.
