Description
Nos. 9 and 10 Charlotte Square are houses that have been converted into offices, built in 1770 by William Newton. They are constructed of English bond brick with an ashlar plinth and dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The buildings rise three storeys and feature three and four bays, with the two left bays projecting slightly. There is a renewed door in the second bay from the right, a blocked doorway in the fourth bay, and a wider door has been inserted. The windows have wedge stone lintels and sashes with glazing bars, along with projecting stone sills on the second floor. There are bands at the ground and first floor sills, and at first floor level. Ventilators have been inserted into the sashes of the two left bays. A gutter cornice is present, and no chimneys are visible. The interior has not been inspected.
