Description

The stable range and linking wall to the north of Pendower Teachers' Centre were built around 1870 and are constructed from coursed squared sandstone with Welsh slate roofs. The left section is a single-storey, five-bay structure featuring sash windows with small separate lights above central Tudor-arched carriage entrances, which are flanked by stepped buttresses. To the right, there are five irregular windows, with the second one located under a wide segmental arch. Above this arch, there is another window set beneath a hood mould, and the arch section is gabled. The building has three tall gabled half dormers, and all gables are topped with flat-ended stone copings. The roof features swept eaves, a corniched transverse stack on the right side, a vent, and a turret with an ogee lead roof and a ball finial topped with a cock vane on the left side. A tall flat coped wall connects the west end of the stable range to the house.
