Description

The Boer War Memorial, dated 1905, is located on East Park Road. It features a stepped, tapered granite plinth adorned with a bayleaf pattern on the torus step and draped cartouches beneath the cornice. The sides of the memorial are inscribed with the names of those who fell in the war. Above, there is a scrolled step with a carved bay wreath, supporting a bronze angel that holds a laurel crown aloft.
