Description

The entrance gates and piers to Saltwell Park, dating from the late 19th century, feature large chamfered square stone piers that have a plinth, a moulded cornice, and a stepped blocking course. The double wrought iron gates are designed in an Art Nouveau style, showcasing a large pattern of spirals within feather shapes. These gates were made by the local firm Bainbridge and Company.
