Description

No. 5 Barwick Lane is an end of terrace cottage from the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a pantile roof with stone ridge copings and two end stacks. The south gable is rendered. The cottage has two storeys, with a boarded door on the right and a horizontal sash window with glazing bars to the left. The first floor has an altered sash window with glazing bars. Inside, there is a beamed ceiling on the ground floor and plastered beams on the first floor. The kitchen includes a late 19th-century range with an ornamented iron surround.
