Description

This is an early 19th-century farmhouse, built in the late Georgian style using local pinkish brick. The roof is covered with swept pantiles and has stone gable copings, kneelers, and an eaves cornice. Brick chimneys are located at each end of the building. Originally, the farmhouse would have had three windows across the front, but ground floor bays have since been removed. Four 12-pane sash windows have been inserted, two on either side of the central entrance. The front door is new, a six-panel design with a three-panel fanlight. A round-headed staircase window with Gothic tracery is visible on the rear elevation. The interior features moulded cornices and a significant amount of original woodwork, including a staircase with turned balusters and a spiral-ended handrail.
