Description
Leven Bridge is an early 19th-century structure with an irregular shape. At the south end on the west side, there are three small segmental arches that step down to the north, leading over a pavement that extends to a weir. In the center, the bridge features two wider segmental arches with pointed cutwaters in between and at the sides. The bridge is constructed from dressed stone with slightly vermiculate voussoirs. It has a plain ashlar parapet with chamfered coping. On the east face, there is a Gothick panel with worn lettering. The bridge is slightly curved in plan and has a standing bay on the west side.
