Description

The gate piers at the west front of the Parish Church in Stockton on Tees date from the early 18th century and stand approximately 14 feet high. They are made of stone and feature paneling on two sides. The piers are topped with heavily moulded caps, which are surmounted by lanterns. Short spur walls ramp down to the height of the former churchyard railings.
