Description

The Midland Bank, built in the early 20th century, is designed in a restrained Baroque style and constructed from sandstone ashlar. The building stands three storeys tall and features five windows, which are fitted with sash frames set within architraves that have eared details on the first floor. The first floor windows are adorned with serpentine pediments that have swages above windows 1, 3, and 5. A modillioned cornice runs along the eaves. The high ground floor includes an entablature that is raised at the sides, framing Ionic doorcases.
